1.Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Products Nepal website, mobile experiences, and related services (collectively, the "Services"), operated by Products Nepal ("Products Nepal", "we", "us", or "our").

By creating an account, submitting a product, posting a review, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2.Plain-English summary

Before the legal language, please read and understand these three things — they are the heart of how Products Nepal works.

Every product listing, review, rating, comment, and piece of written content on Products Nepal is created and submitted by users. It reflects THEIR experience and opinions, not Products Nepal's. Products Nepal does not endorse, rate, approve, certify, recommend, or hold any opinion about any listing or review on the platform.
Products Nepal tries hard to verify that users are real and that listings represent genuine businesses. We run identity checks, domain-email verification, duplicate detection, and manual review. But no verification system is perfect. Despite our best efforts, fake accounts, impersonation, manipulated reviews, or other misuse can still happen. Products Nepal is not liable for any such misuse.
Products Nepal is not liable — directly or indirectly — for any information shown on the Services, for the accuracy of reviews or listings, for the quality of products you discover here, or for any decision you make based on anything on the platform. You use Products Nepal at your own discretion and should do your own due diligence before making any financial, contractual, or personal decision.

3.Definitions

"You" / "User" — any person or organisation accessing the Services.
"Content" — anything submitted to the Services: reviews, ratings, comments, product listings, company names, screenshots, logos, profile information, messages, or any other text/image/data.
"Maker" — a user claiming to represent a product or company listing.
"We" / "Us" — Products Nepal and its operators, employees, contractors, and affiliates.
"Platform" / "Services" — the Products Nepal website, API, mobile experiences, notifications, and any related product.

4.Nature of Content — user-generated, not our opinion

This is one of the most important sections. Please read it carefully.

All Content on Products Nepal — including but not limited to product listings, reviews, star ratings, pricing claims, feature lists, screenshots, logos, descriptions, categories, pros/cons, and comments — is submitted by users of the Services.

Products Nepal is a neutral hosting platform. We provide tools for users to submit, discover, and discuss products. We do NOT author, endorse, rate, certify, fact-check, or approve the Content.
A rating, review, or endorsement on Products Nepal reflects the opinion of the individual user who posted it. It is NOT the opinion, recommendation, or certification of Products Nepal.
A product appearing on Products Nepal — even with a high rating, verified badge, or featured position — is NOT endorsed by Products Nepal. Ranking, surfacing, and feature placement follow automated signals (ratings, upvotes, recency, category matching, etc.) and editorial decisions that do not imply Products Nepal's commercial, technical, or legal endorsement of any product.
Any algorithmic or AI-generated answer (including the "Ask AI" assistant) is produced by retrieving user-submitted Content and summarising it. Such answers are informational only; they are not advice or a warranty of any kind.
By accepting these Terms at signup, you explicitly acknowledge and agree that you understand this — that Products Nepal is a conduit for other people's information and opinions, not a source of its own.

5.Verification — best-effort, not a guarantee

Products Nepal implements multiple layers of verification to reduce fraud, impersonation, and spam. These include, without limitation:

Manual admin review of new signups before accounts become active.
Domain-email verification for business claims.
Duplicate-listing detection based on website domains and name similarity.
Review moderation and flagging of suspicious patterns (review bombing, self-reviewing, etc.).
Rate limiting and bot protection.

We work in good faith to make these checks effective — but despite our best efforts, mistakes can and do happen. Fraudulent accounts may slip through. Impersonators may claim a listing. Fake reviews may be posted before we catch them. Technical errors may delay or distort moderation.

Products Nepal does its best, but Products Nepal is NOT liable for any loss, damage, harm, reputational injury, financial consequence, or other outcome arising from verification failures, moderation delays, impersonation, fake reviews, or any other form of misuse of the Services — whether caused by other users, bots, attackers, or our own mistakes.

If you discover misuse, please email abuse@productsnepal.com or use the in-app flag tools. We will investigate and act where appropriate. The right to legal remedies against the person who caused the harm lies against that person — not against Products Nepal.

6.No liability for information shown in the Services

Everything you see on Products Nepal — product claims, pricing, ratings, reviews, recommendations, answers from the AI assistant, comparison tables, "top" lists — is presented AS IS based on user submissions and automated aggregation.

Products Nepal makes NO representation or warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, suitability, availability, legality, or safety of any information, product, service, or maker listed. Reviews may be outdated, biased, inaccurate, or deliberately misleading despite our safeguards.

You agree that any reliance you place on such information is strictly at your own risk. Before making any purchase, investment, legal, employment, or contractual decision based on information discovered on Products Nepal, you should conduct your own independent due diligence, verify the information directly with the business, and consult appropriate professional advice (legal, financial, technical, etc.).

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Products Nepal disclaims all liability — direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or otherwise — arising out of or in connection with any use of, reliance on, or decision made based on any Content or information presented on the Services.

7.Who can use Products Nepal

You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter a binding contract under Nepali law (or your local jurisdiction).
If you are signing up on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company.
You must not be barred from using the Services under any applicable law.

8.One person, one account · one company, one listing

Creating multiple accounts to manipulate reviews, upvotes, rankings, verification, claim visibility, or any other platform signal is strictly prohibited.
Each business or product should be listed only once. Duplicate listings will be merged or removed.
Sharing login credentials is discouraged. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.

9.Honest reviews only

Products Nepal's value depends on trustworthy reviews. These rules apply every time you post a rating, review, or endorsement.

Reviews must reflect your genuine experience as a real user or customer of the product.
You must not write reviews for products you have not actually used, evaluated, or interacted with.
If you have been compensated, sponsored, or given free access in exchange for a review, you must clearly disclose it in the review body.
Makers, employees, contractors, investors, agency partners, friends/family, or anyone with a material conflict of interest must NOT review their own product.
The same groups must NOT review direct competitors with intent to harm their reputation.
Coordinated review bombing — positive or negative — will result in removal of all related reviews, public disclosure of the manipulation, and account suspension.
We use heuristics and manual review to detect fake reviews. If we remove yours and you think it was genuine, you can appeal (see "Moderation").

10.What you cannot post or do

Any of the following may result in immediate removal and, for serious or repeated violations, permanent account termination and potential legal action.

Defamatory, false, or misleading statements about people, companies, or products.
Harassment, threats, intimidation, or bullying of any individual — including makers, staff, other users, or their families.
Hateful or discriminatory content based on race, ethnicity, nationality, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, caste, disability, or age.
Personally identifiable information about others (phone numbers, home addresses, ID numbers, citizenship numbers, email addresses, etc.) without their consent.
Confidential or proprietary business information that is not yours to share (leaked contracts, unreleased financials, salary data, NDA material, source code, trade secrets).
Sexually explicit content, nudity, or content involving minors in any context.
Content that promotes, incites, or facilitates violence, self-harm, terrorism, or other illegal acts.
Spam, off-topic content, affiliate links, unrelated promotions, MLM/pyramid scheme content, or repeat-posting to manipulate visibility.
Malicious links, malware, phishing attempts, crypto-drainer URLs, or anything designed to harm other users.
Impersonation of any person, company, government official, or brand.
Infringement of any third party's copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, right of publicity, or other intellectual property.
Reverse engineering, scraping, or automated access to the Services without our prior written permission.
Buying, selling, or soliciting reviews, upvotes, or account access.
Using the Services to coordinate fraud, scams, money-laundering, or any unlawful activity.

11.Listings, claims, and ownership

Only the rightful business owner (or an authorised representative) may claim a listing. You verify ownership via a company-domain email or other proof we request.
We may create placeholder listings for public companies so users can find and review them. The rightful owner can claim ownership through our Claim flow.
Impersonating a company or its representative is a serious violation and a criminal offence in many jurisdictions. We will report such cases to authorities and take legal action.
Listing information must be accurate. Do not fabricate statistics, awards, partnerships, certifications, customer quotes, or credentials.
If we detect inaccuracies or misrepresentation, we may correct the listing, lower its trust score, or remove it.

12.Intellectual property

Products Nepal's platform, design, brand, logos, and trademarks belong to us. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.
By posting Content, you represent that you own or have the right to share it, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
Trademark or copyright complaints can be filed at legal@productsnepal.com with evidence of your rights and the infringing URL.

13.Your content, your responsibility

You keep ownership of everything you post on Products Nepal. You are free to republish your own Content anywhere else.

By posting, you grant Products Nepal a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, cache, display, distribute, and use your Content on and via the Services, including for anti-abuse / fraud-detection / AI-retrieval purposes — for as long as your account is active plus a reasonable period after deletion for operational needs (e.g. backups, dispute handling).

You are solely responsible for your Content and any consequences of posting it. If a third party brings a claim against Products Nepal because of your Content, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from that claim, including reasonable legal fees.

14.Moderation & enforcement

We review flagged content within approximately 48 business hours and remove anything that violates these Terms.
We may remove, hide, demote, or edit Content at our sole discretion — with or without notice — if we believe it violates these Terms, the law, or our community standards.
For serious or repeated violations, we may suspend or permanently terminate your account. Where the violation may be criminal, we may report it to law enforcement.
We will usually tell you why we took action. You can appeal any removal or suspension by emailing support@productsnepal.com within 14 days. An independent reviewer will look at your appeal.
First-time minor issues (e.g. an off-topic review) are usually addressed with a warning and a chance to edit.

15.Account suspension & deletion

You can deactivate your account at any time by emailing support@productsnepal.com.
Certain Content (e.g. reviews that helped the community) may remain on the platform in anonymised form after deletion, to preserve integrity of ratings and historical discussion.
We may suspend accounts that remain inactive for extended periods or that have been flagged multiple times even without a final decision.

16.Third-party products, makers, and transactions

Products Nepal is a discovery and review platform. It is not a marketplace, and Products Nepal is not a party to any transaction, contract, or relationship between you and any maker, business, or third party discovered via the Services.

Any purchase, subscription, account creation, investment, or contract entered into with a maker, business, or third party is strictly between you and that third party.
Products Nepal is not responsible for the goods, services, refund policies, warranties, customer support, data handling, or any other behaviour of third parties.
If a maker misuses the platform, defrauds you, or provides defective goods or services, your remedies lie against that maker under applicable law. Products Nepal is not a co-defendant or guarantor.

17.Privacy & data

We treat your personal data carefully and will never sell it. Full details live in our Privacy Policy. Privacy Policy.

Categories of data we collect: account info (email, username, name), Content you submit, minimal analytics (pages viewed, IP, device), and verification signals (IP used at terms-acceptance, domain-match for claims).
We share data with service providers (email, hosting, AI inference) under strict agreements, and with law enforcement when legally compelled.
You can request a copy of your data or delete your account by emailing support@productsnepal.com.

18.Warranty disclaimer

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED — INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR AVAILABILITY.

Without limiting the foregoing, Products Nepal makes no warranty that: (a) the Services will meet your requirements; (b) the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; (c) any Content — including reviews, ratings, or maker claims — is accurate, complete, or reliable; (d) defects will be corrected; or (e) products discovered via the Services will perform as advertised by their makers.

19.Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Products Nepal, its operators, employees, contractors, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages — including without limitation loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunity — arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Services, regardless of the legal theory and whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the Services is limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) NPR 10,000.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited (for example, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or intentional harm).

20.Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Products Nepal and its operators, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your Content; (b) your use of the Services; (c) your breach of these Terms; (d) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party; or (e) any dispute between you and another user or third party.

21.Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed under the laws of Nepal, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Kathmandu, Nepal. Where local consumer law gives you rights that cannot be waived, those rights still apply.
Before starting formal proceedings, please try to resolve the issue with us by emailing support@productsnepal.com — we usually fix things faster than courts do.

22.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When a change is material, we will notify you by email at the address on your account and ask you to re-accept before continuing to use the Services.

Small clarifications or typo fixes may happen without notice. The current version number and effective date is always shown at the top of this page.

Continuing to use Products Nepal after a change becomes effective means you accept the updated Terms.

23.Severability & entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The unenforceable provision shall be replaced with an enforceable one that most closely matches its original intent.

These Terms (together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms for paid features) constitute the entire agreement between you and Products Nepal regarding the Services, and supersede any prior agreements on the same subject.
