Guidelines for Reviewers

Products Nepal depends on honest, thoughtful reviews. These guidelines exist to maintain the quality and trustworthiness of our platform. By writing a review on Products Nepal, you agree to follow these standards.

1. Be Honest and Authentic

Your review must reflect your genuine experience with the product. Do not write reviews for products you have not used. Do not accept compensation from a product's maker in exchange for a favorable review. If you have a relationship with the product (e.g., you are an employee, investor, or family member of the maker), you must disclose that relationship in your review.

2. Be Specific and Constructive

Describe what worked, what did not, and how you used the product. Vague statements like "great product" or "terrible app" without supporting detail are not helpful. Both the Pros and Cons fields require at least 50 characters to encourage meaningful feedback. Focus on the product itself, not on other reviewers or unrelated topics.

3. Be Respectful

Reviews must not contain:

• Hate speech, slurs, or discriminatory language
• Personal attacks against individuals
• Threats of violence or harassment
• Sexually explicit content
• Doxxing or sharing private personal information

You may criticize a product firmly and directly. Criticism of a product is not the same as attacking the people who built it.

4. One Review Per Product

Each user may submit one review per product. You may update your existing review at any time to reflect changes in the product or your experience. Creating multiple accounts to leave additional reviews is prohibited and will result in permanent suspension.

5. No Spam or Self-Promotion

Reviews must not contain promotional links, referral codes, affiliate URLs, or advertisements for other products or services. Reviews that exist solely to promote a competing product will be removed.

6. Do Not Manipulate Ratings

The following activities are prohibited and may result in account suspension:

• Coordinated review campaigns designed to artificially inflate or deflate a product's rating
• Offering incentives (discounts, free products, cash) in exchange for reviews
• Using bots or automated tools to submit reviews
• Vote manipulation on helpfulness ratings

7. Enforcement

Reviews that violate these guidelines may be removed without notice. Repeat or severe violations may result in temporary or permanent account suspension. We review all community reports within 48 hours.

These guidelines may be updated periodically. Continued use of Products Nepal after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised guidelines. See also our Terms & Conditions.
